About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) and a fork (musket fork) with his left hand (no. 15), ca. 1600. The burning match in his right hand he transfers to his left hand. Plate 15 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte onderrechtinghe op de figuerliicke afbeeldinghe, soo veel aengaet het recht ghebruyck vant Musquet.
