About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his left hand near his left thigh and with his right hand sliding the ramrod into the holder under the barrel (no. 30), ca. 1600. In his left hand, besides the musket, a fork (musket fork). Plate 30 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte onderrechtinghe op de figuerliicke afbeeldinghe, soo veel aengaet het recht ghebruyck vant Musquet.
