A soldier, full-length, carrying a pike horizontally at shoulder height with both hands, his right hand at the butt of the weapon (no. 24), ca. 1600. Plate 24 in the instructions for handling the pike: Corte onderwysinghe op de figuerliicke afbeeldinghe belanghende trechte gebruck, van alle t'ghene een Soldaet int handelen vande Spies noodich is.
