About this work
A soldier, full-length, seen from the back, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand at his left thigh, the barrel pointing diagonally upwards (no. 21), ca. 1600. With his right hand he grasps a powder horn at his side. Plate 21 in the instructions for handling the musket.
