A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his right hand, the barrel pointing upwards (no. 4), ca. 1600. In his outstretched left hand he holds a lit match and a fork (musket fork), upon which he can place his weapon. Plate 4 in the instructions for handling the musket: Shorte instruction for the figures, so much concerneth the right use of muskett.
