About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, aiming a musket (a specific type of firearm) with both hands at a target, the barrel resting on a fork (musket fork), and firing (no. 12), ca. 1600. Plate 12 in the instructions for handling the musket: Brief enseignement, sur les pourtraitz figurez, touchant le droit maniement du Mousquet.
