About this work
Central representation of the Quincampoix coffee house in the Kalverstraat, the center of share trading in Amsterdam, 1720. The border contains references to projects in Muiden, Utrecht, Harlingen, Weesp, Rotterdam, and the Mississippi. At the bottom, a coat of arms built from windmills and a jester's head. The caption contains a four-column verse. Print in the bound first edition (304 B 10) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
