About this work
Reception of Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, the wife of King Charles III of Spain, in Barcelona, 1 August 1708. The central depiction of the princess's entry in a very richly decorated ornamental frame with Jupiter and Juno in the clouds at the top. At the bottom a cartouche with the description of the events in German. On the left and right pillars decorated with emblems, at the bottom allegorical figures. Sheet in the bound collection of plates published under the title: Repraesentatio belli ... Der Spanische Successions-Krieg [ca. 1720].
