About this work

Capture of Saint-Venant. The siege opened on 6 September and the city captured by the Allies on 30 September 1710. The central representation of the camp and the siege framed in a richly decorated ornamental border with, at the top, a cartouche containing a plan of the city. Bottom, a cartouche with a description of the events in German. Sheet in the bound collection of plates published under the title: Repraesentatio belli ... Der Spanische Successions-Krieg [ca. 1720].
