About this work

Allegory on the greedy world, or the rise and fall of the stock trade. Central figure sitting on a globe with a John Law coin as a head. The scene is filled with various examples of human folly in the pursuit of money, fights, quacks, farmers, etc. Copy of an old print. Five-column verse in Dutch at the top. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
