Satirical print on E.M. de Cock, pensionary of the States of Brabant, condemned as a traitor and hanged in effigy on the gallows on 14 May 1789. At the foot of the gallows stands Mother World. To the right a young man is being chased away by a group of women; in the background a peddler sells pamphlets. Numbered top right: 39.
