About this work

Allegorical representation in which an olive tree and also a tree of liberty is planted. Hanging from the tree are the names of Brabantian patriots. Four soldiers plant a fence of laurel bushes around the tree. With French inscription of eight lines praising Van der Noot and Van der Mersch. Part of the bound collection of prints relating to the events of the Brabantian Revolution and the period 1787-1790.
