About this work

Satirical print on the Committee of Trade and Navigation, 1795. Three members of this committee on a dune on the coast. They demonstrate their incompetence by forging straight anchors into curved ones, selling sulfur sticks, and tearing sails to pieces. On the water, a boat with a torn sail floats.
