About this work
A shopkeeper (without a wig) from the Evangelical Brethren shows a needle case to a customer, a young woman from Alkmaar. The man belongs to the Evangelical Brethren (Herrnhutters) in Zeist. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty-four plates of Dutch costumes in the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, 1829.
