A christening gown of fine batiste, consisting of a long skirt of two panels, gathered at the short bodice with sleeves set. The front part is decorated with French embroidery. On the skirt the embroidered vines spread out towards the bottom, while between them a bouquet with symmetrical vines is embroidered. The trapezium-shaped front piece of the bodice is embroidered and like the back piece and the sleeves trimmed with an embroidered strip. The fastening is by hooks and eyes, by straps and by two long flaps, which are sewn onto the center band.
