About this work

Parasol with a cover of champagne-colored silk with a scalloped edge and ending in a point at the top. Machine embroidery is pleated over the top and hangs down in a broad strip. The stick is painted white, the tip is of ivory with Chinese carving. The handle is in the shape of a lying dog.
