About this work
Strip of natural-colored needle lace, Venetian rose point. Pattern of various flowers and acanthus leaves on vines, in a repetitive motif. One of the larger flowers is drop-shaped and has leaf volutes on both sides. Irregular open spile ground with picots. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace. The lower side is finished with a straight picot border with arches.
