About this work
In the flat of the bowl, a representation of the Spies of the Land of Canaan (Joshua 2:1-22) is stamped with a die-stamp. This is surrounded by a border of stylized leaves stamped with punch-stamps. On the rim, rosettes are applied in this manner, and a hanging ring was attached at the bottom at a later time.
