About this work
Man on a rectangular plot with his right leg forward and his left against a rocky elevation. Both hands are tucked into the jacket in front of his chest. The head with long straight hair hanging to the shoulder is turned to the left. He wears a floppy hat, the brim of which is turned up on one side. The long, buttoned jacket shows a bit of the shirt at the neck. Stockings drooping below the short breeches and large low shoes.
