About this work

Armchair resting on S-shaped legs ending in hooves, culminating in volutes in the side rails, which in the center feature a shell motif with leaf volutes against a checkered background. They, like the X-shaped cross, the S-shaped armrest supports, the back rail supports, and the volutes of the otherwise straight armrests, are decorated with carving, predominantly with leaf motifs. The armrests, seat, and rectangular back rail are upholstered with studded tapestry featuring vases with fruits and flowers.
