About this work
Armchair of walnut with petit-point upholstery and oak back posts and back legs. The chairs rest on obliquely placed S-shaped legs. The front legs have at the bottom a scroll with a leaf motif and above the swelling a shell motif. The armrest supports merge into hollowed armrests, ending in an acanthus scroll. The upholstery shows motifs of flower vases and bouquets. Part of a set of six armchairs (inv. no. BK-16024-a to -f), from Kasteel Eerde (O.).
