About this work

Armchair of walnut with petit-point upholstery and oak back stiles and rear legs. The chairs rest on S-shaped legs placed diagonally. The front legs feature a volute with a leaf motif at the bottom and a shell motif above the swelling. The armrest supports transition into hollowed armrests, ending in acanthus volutes. The upholstery displays motifs of flower vases and bouquets. Part of a set of six armchairs (inv. no. BK-16024-a to f), from Kasteel Eerde (O.).
