About this work

Armchair (from a pair), upholstered in gros and petit point. The straight S-shaped legs placed diagonally end in flat hoof feet and are adorned with carved acanthus leaf motifs on the swellings. The same motif appears on the S-curved armrest supports, which hold the slightly arched armrests ending in volutes. Trapezoidal seat frame. The upholstery depicts birds and male and female figures. See: BK-1955-43-B; modern chairs.
