Linen damask napkin with the Promised Land. Central field: the symmetrical pattern shows from bottom to top five scenes: 1 A pomegranate tree. 2 Two and a half fortified cities, above which four flying birds and the word THARAN. 3 A kneeling figure, with staff and two horns on the head, at a tent camp, above which the word MOIJSES; in the middle God the Father with halo and blessing, half emerging from the clouds; the words NUMER.XIII C.A.P. 4 Two men walking outwards with a staff to which a gigantic bunch of grapes is attached, while one holds a fruit basket; the names CALEP and IOSUE. 5 A vineyard with grape clusters and the word NEHEL and (halved) a standing armored warrior with a spear. Standing borders: single vine border with birds and various flowers; outside that: block border.
