About this work

Chair of oak, resting on legs with house and jointing, connected by eight spindles. At the bottom of the rails a hollowed dentil molding. The back stiles are decorated with interrupted cannelures, above which a drip, buckle and field with needlework; topped with small vases. The back frame carries a flat spindle halfway, in marquetry, a scrollwork cartouche with the year 1624. Above it seven Tuscan columns and two half-columns carrying interlaced arches; below and on the top rail decoration in scrollwork motif.
