Strip of bobbin lace without painted flowers and leaves, from a series of painted strips

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace, with some stitches sewn to a blue and green painted strip with the same pattern. The pattern consists of feathered leaves, curved and curling, with a plume-shaped flower and a flower in the shape of a pine cone. The motifs are connected to each other by an ornamental ground, a snowflake ground. The solid work is largely made in linen stitch with openwork edges. Between some leaves and in the flowers a netting filling has been applied. The lower edge of the strip is finished straight. The upper edge is finished with a separately bobbin-edged band. A border along one short side is strongly brown discolored.
