About this work

Sofa of walnut. The five square rear legs are set back and the front corner legs are set diagonally; the five front legs with ball and claw are S-shaped. The legs and the scalloped front rail show leafwork. The cross-frame has a scalloped cross-rail. The flat curved armrests end in volutes and rest on squat S-shaped supports. The back consists of four openwork connecting pieces in a plaited band motif, separated by braided stiles, decorated with leafwork. Seat with tapestry.
