About this work

Bench of ironwood (?) on six splayed legs with houses, resting on flat ball-shaped foot blocks and connected by splayed foot rails. The splayed armrest supports support the slightly hollowed armrests, ending in a volute, which flow into the square back posts, crowned with lotus calyxes. The back, with a scalloped top rail, consists of two parts; the rails are connected by splayed columns and, like the seat rails, houses, posts, and armrests, decorated with pierced lotus vines.
