About this work

Lime wood settee with seat, front rail of pine wood, resting on cheeks extending above the seat with openwork carved acanthus volutes and hollowed armrests at the top. The openwork back features a coat of arms (with a three-part division in fields showing three Moor's heads, a bunch of grapes with vine leaves, and water at the bottom) with a crest (half Moor figure with an arrow in hand). The back has symmetrical acanthus volutes on either side.
