About this work

Walnut settee resting on cheeks extending above the seat, featuring relief acanthus scrolls with cornucopias. The armrest with a reclining leaf rests on a female head and ends in a volute with an acanthus leaf. The symmetrically constructed, openwork carved back shows a shield with initials held by putti in the raised central section, along with floral, leaf, fruit, and animal motifs. Below the seat, a laurel border frames a festoon of flowers and fruit with two putti.
