Corridor bench made of olive wood

Bench made of olive wood; smooth seat with a front rail of pierced acanthus vine, set into two curved side panels; the panels are carved with acanthus scrolls, under the seat on a dense background, the armrests pierced. The front of the side panels is decorated with a feather-shaped long leaf, ending below in a stylized claw. The back shows pierced wood carving of acanthus leaves, symmetrically bordered by a hanging shield, bearing a coat of arms (divided, above a pike/sturgeon in water, below three crowned lozenges). The front rail was once replaced by a walnut-carved copy. The side panels are built from two parts, giving the appearance of having been raised, though the continuous carving makes this unlikely.
