Chest of cornoelje wood, decorated with drawings in East Indian ink

Chest of cornelian wood. Drawings in Indian ink are applied to the front, sides, and lid. The front shows four putti amidst leafy vines, alternating with rosettes within profiled circles, and the lid displays two eagles in flight on either side of a tree. The rim of the lid, like the sides, bears a vine motif in Indian ink. On the left at half height, the chest has a compartment.
