Tabernacle door with the coat of arms of the Piccolomini

Tabernacle door of walnut wood. Two Corinthian half-columns on a truncated base flank a niche and support the entablature. The frieze and basement are decorated with leaf and flower motifs. Hanging bellflowers are attached on either side of the half-columns. The crest shows in the center a head of Christ within an egg-shaped medallion, surrounded by leafy vines and flanked by a bird, a vase with flame, and a cherub's head. At the bottom, a cherub above a shield bearing the arms of the Piccolomini.
