About this work

Three fragments of painted wall covering in oil on linen. Above a dado of off-white with blue-grey frames, grey-blue vertical stripes are applied on an off-white ground, alternately decorated with scattered berry branches and a floral scroll in red and blue. The seven fragments can be completed to form two bands.
