About this work
Console of white and gold-painted lime wood, furniture fragment. The top plate is enclosed by a semicircular frame, set between two profiled frames. On the left, this plate rests on a broken C-scroll, around which an acanthus leaf; on the right on an extended S- and C-scroll, surrounded by rose branches. The connection between the aforementioned scrolls is formed by a volute shell, surrounded by rose branches. The console ends in asymmetrical acanthus leaves. This console probably originated from a sideboard.
