Tablecloth with Louis XV, King of France, and Maria Lesczinska

Tablecloth of linen damask with Louis XV and Maria Leszczyńska. Central field: the symmetrical pattern, repeated three times side by side and twice above each other, shows three scenes: 1 Flying angels hold a doubled medallion, in which the text: VIVANT LUDOVICUS MARIA REX ET REGINA. 2 A standing figure in a royal mantle and a woman shaking hands, standing on a tiled terrace under a double-swung arch, supported by columns with Ionic capitals. 3 Crowned alliance coat of arms carried by palm branches: the central one, bearing three fleurs-de-lis, is flanked by an oval shield quartered: 1 and 4 a double eagle, 2 and 3 a rider; escutcheon with an ox's head. Floating angels on both sides with trumpets, from which a pennant with the letter L hangs. Borders: inner straight frame with stem and volute leaves, always varied, and small heart-shaped fields with a checkered design. Surrounding: block border.
