Collar of bobbin lace with feathered leaf scrolls and rosette flowers

Collar of natural-coloured Brabantine bobbin lace. Asymmetrical pattern with feathered leaf volutes, rosette flowers, palmette flowers, pear-shaped and aubergine-shaped flowers, composite flowers, fruit clusters and rocailles. The motifs are connected to each other by a picoted plaited ground. Full work in linen stitch and net stitch, loosely bobbin-worked and with some relief contour lines (ribs). The slightly scalloped lower edge results from the pattern. The upper edge is finished with a very narrow bobbin-worked band with picots.
