About this work
Prayer rug of satin with an image of a mihrab. From a scaled formation rises a cypress-shaped tree, within which a symmetrical flower branch is populated with monkeys, parrots, and pheasants. Around the cypress are equal flower branches populated with birds and squirrels. On either side of the tree stands a proud peacock with a snake in its beak. Below the peacocks are fish depicted. Oriental textile.
