Canvas with pattern of a cypress

Cloth with a pattern of a cypress. In the central field on a red ground with a repeating cashmere pattern and in the upper corners a Mirab arch with flowers on a blue ground, a lance-shaped leaf form placed in a mainly blue vase which in turn stands on a mound built up of scales. The leaf form in yellow with a decoration of rising flower vines, in which birds, with in the center a second rising lance-shaped leaf (a "cypress") in red. On either side of the mound a tiger; above it, flanking the vase, a peacock. Along the top of the central field runs a border in which seven small red Mirab arches with flowers and plants on a white ground. Continuing from that, along the greater part of the central field, a border in which a vase stands in which a lance-shaped leaf is placed, from which two stacked, double ogee forms and a lance-shaped leaf rise, on a white ground.
