About this work

Strip of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace on net ground. Scattered pattern of hearts on a very fine hexagonal bobbin lace mesh ground, with below a repetitive and continuous motif of a C-shaped flower with zigzag and curled leaf twigs. The picoted lower edge consists of a series of small open circles and lying C-shapes, forming fine shells. Motifs with bobbin lace relief contours, ribs. One type of decorative stitch (needle lace stitch). The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace.
