About this work

Strip of natural-colored appliqué lace, needle lace on drochel ground, point d'Angleterre. Scattered motif of round flowers with two leaves on a short stem on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. Repeating motif along the lower edge of a hanging cornflower-like flower. The scalloped lower edge is formed by these flowers. Relief contours around the motifs are made of widely scalloped thread bundles. Some decorative stitches in the flowers. The upper side is finished with a straight edge.
