About this work
Standing clock veneered with burr wood. The clock has a door with a circular glass pane surrounded by a copper border. The plinth molding is profiled and rests on four black wooden balls. The hood rests on four colonnettes and is arched at the top. On the dial the name of the clockmaker: William Gib Rotterdam. The arched filling above the dial depicts fruit-bearing cherubs. On the hood are two gilded wooden figurines. The clockwork is missing.
