About this work

Spread with multicolored embroidery; tambour work. The pattern has a wide border filled with spiral vines with various flowers. The central field has scattered butas (flower branches) and in the center an oval medallion containing a vine and flower pattern. The corners of the central field are filled with half-oval medallions also filled with a vine and flower pattern. Oriental textile.
