About this work
Fichu with scarf collar, of linen glass batist decorated with white work. Model: cut in shoulder shape, round at the back and pointed at the front. Doubled with a scarf collar and finished with a double, smoothly applied strip. Against the strip a series of transverse slits for a row of ribbon. Ornament: scattered ovals in plumetis embroidery with thick pearl borders and fine needle lace stitches in the heart are alternated with leaf borders, while along the finely scalloped edge motifs run that resemble flies.
