Fanchon of Black Bobbin Lace with Sprig Pattern

Fanchon of black silk bobbin lace, Chantilly lace. A round running and widened center piece ends in two short rounded tails. A wide scattered pattern of flower branches and large mouches is surrounded by a pearl border and linked rosettes. The motifs are connected to each other by a mesh ground. The motifs are made in net stitch with contour threads around the motifs.
