About this work

Fanchon of natural-colored lace embroidery: Lier lace (machine-made tulle with tambour work). The fanchon consists of a center part with two flaps. The symmetrical pattern consists of vines with flowers, leaves and berries springing from a central part with three flowers. The scalloped edges are edged with picots.
