About this work
Pitcher of blue-painted faience, with a blue ground, a tin foot ring, and a tin lid. The pitcher has a foot, a globular body, and a cylindrical, ribbed neck. The ear is braided and ends in two curls on the body. A sowing motif consisting of flowers, birds, branches with leaves and fruit, a peacock, and rosettes is painted on the pitcher. The letters M.C.H. are engraved in the top of the lid. The pitcher is marked.
