About this work

Baptismal veil of natural-colored appliqué lace of batiste applied on machine-made tulle, Carrickmacross lace. Pattern of sparse curly flower and leaf motifs. Scalloped edge of rococo cartouches with different filling patterns in buttonhole stitches. The veil is lined with cream-colored silk.
