About this work
Motif in the form of an elongated drop of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Cluny lace. The contour of the drop is made in linen stitch. Inside the contour hangs from the pointed end a branch downwards which ends in the convex part of the drop at the bottom. However, the branch is interrupted in the middle field by an ornamental ground with spiders with an eye. On the braided branch are leaves on both sides made in pattern stitch.
