Wedding dress of white satin with high waist, asymmetric closure and attached train decorated with gaze de soie, bobbin lace and cord embroidery. Model: Robe princesse or Tanagréenne. Front: the closure is hidden under a diagonally cut tunic-shaped overlay. Deep V-neck with a low satin bodice and a high second bodice of gaze de soie and lace (18th-century Mechelen bobbin lace); small lace guimpe. Under a short, bell-shaped upper sleeve comes a narrow, pleated long sleeve, trimmed with lace at the wrist. Back: also a deep V-neck with two bodices. Along the neck runs a strip with lengthwise pleats, coming from the front and ending in the back in two flaps. Below this the tailored skirt flares out in a fan shape.
